The basic chair has a rounded top with two handles on either side at the equilibrium
point; every surface is rounded over and sanded. The hand holds and seat hole are
lined with leather for ease and comfort of use. The basic chair costs $50.
You will also note, all of the chairs are stained with an outdoor minwax, this allows
you to leave them or use them outside with little fear. Many are decorated with
Celtic and Norse designs and zoomorphic, like the shields though we can do any
custom design within the limits of the wood and my tools. In addition, I can also
upholster your chair or bench usually in the leather color of your choice.
Spear Head, Diamond Top, Castle Cut, Cathedral Cut Chairs and Armory Chairs
have all the same accoutrements with the hand holds sanding and custom staining,
except that they are have added cuts for decoration along the edges near the top and
along the sides. Spear/Diamond Chairs have a tapered or pointy top. Castle Cut
Chairs look crenelated (I got this design from a church pew I saw in Glastonbury,
England). Cathedral Cut, have a rounded top but with two small side benches cut in
the wood parallel to the ground at the bottom of the curve. Lastly Armory Chairs,
look a bit like a person, with a rounded almost circular head piece and a straight
body. These are handy for hanging chain mail or gambesons and helms off of when
not being worn. All of these chairs run $60.
