Benches & Stools
Benches & Stools are basically the same as chairs, as they also will come apart, can
be customized with either leather padding or scroll work, are extremely portable and
are constructed mainly along the same lines. They are however less expensive
running from as little as $20 for a simple stool to only $55 for a 2 ft wide
upholstered bench.

Currently there are two different designs for benches. The traditional peg and cross
piece which looks a bit like an “H” with the bench seat crossing the top. It comes
apart into 4 pieces plus pegs to lie flat. The “X” or Roman cross seat is another
favorite, it folds into three pieces with no pegs. Benches are usually between a
1 1/2ft to 2 ft in width, but can run as long as 8 ft (price is adjusted to length).

Stools are just that, small & round they stand approximately 8” and can either come
padded or with scroll work. They’re great for small children or relaxing your legs as
you sit in one of the key hole chairs.

Tables
Currently we offer two varieties of tables, the more mundane and far more portable
Picnic table, which is unashamedly made of plywood cleverly cut and notched to fit
together into a four seat four foot long table and the traditional and highly sought
after Boxed Table.

The Picnic table is extremely sturdy, enough so that I’ve demonstrated my table
dancing ability on more than one occasion. All the pieces fit together like a jig saw
puzzle to form a sturdy eating and cooking station. The pieces when apart lie in a
flat pile 4 ft long, 2 ft wide and 6-8 inches thick and can fit in most large trunks or
can easily be lashed to your roof rack. The basic table goes for $120, although
custom designs and chess boards can be added.
Boxed Tables are a historically traditional design. They are usually 4 ft long and 2 ft
wide when set up, but can be up to 8 ft in length. Unlike the Picnic table, the
benches are free standing and can be moved apart. All the components of the table
are collapsible and designed to fit inside the closed box, which comprises the top of
table. When folded and stored the Boxed Table dimensions are approximately 1 ft
by 1 ft by 4 ft (depending on the length specified of course). Leather handles are
provided for the ends for easier handling and storage. The basic Boxed Table runs
for $350, however a lot of custom work can be put into the design including ornate
end pieces such as fleur de lis, or hearts. A chess or Toblero board can also be
inscribed on the surface.
